UPS Airline Flight Training Division Manager



As Airline Flight Training Manager for UPS, Houston Mills directs flight training personnel and assets to provide legal, safe, timely, and efficient flight operations to provide quality service to UPS internal and external customers.   Captain Mills is also responsible for working with Government/Regulatory agencies to ensure all UPS Flight Training Programs are in compliance with all FAA Advisory Circulars, Action Notices, and other pertinent regulations.



A native of Indianapolis, IN, Captain Mills received a BA degree from Wabash College in 1985 and his MBA from Webster University in 2005.  He received a Professional Human Recourses (PHR) designation in 2001.  Prior to UPS Captain Mills served as a United States Marine Corps Officer and F/A-18 Fighter Pilot.


Captain Mills has been a proactive member of community.  He served as the immediate past OBAP/Shawnee Camp director for 10 years. He has also served as Metro United Way Loaned Executive and UPS Flight Campaign Coordinator, Habitat for Humanity Project leader, Hospice of Louisville Board Member, Chairman of OBAP National Board of Directors, Urban League Black Executive Exchange Program participant, 100 Blackmen of Louisville, YMCA Black Achiever, Youth baseball, basketball, and softball coach.  Captain Mills is married to Dr. Sonia Mills and they have three children, Adrienne, Brittany, and Houston III.
